January 8-15 2009 BlogHello from the SPS Cyclists! In order to keep everyone in the loop about what we’re up to, we’ve decided to start writing up weekly blog-posts about what we’re working on in preparation for our bike trip this summer. We will try to keep you updated during every twist and turn of our route as well, so that you can share this incredible experience with us.
So here’s a general summary of the past week: first off, donations have been coming in relentlessly. Our goal of raising $100,000 dollars for the Jimmy Fund is looking more and more possible every day. We have finalized the itinerary of our route, and our currently determining our accommodations throughout the trip. The Cyclists have also been working with those driving our support vehicle during the trip to give them an overview of what our route will be, and what their role as support driver vehicles will be.
All in all, we are having a blast planning this trip. Now that we have a concrete itinerary, we are starting to truly visualizing what our trip is going to be like. We all are incredibly excited.
